One of the final touches to the party are these birthday hats. Pam and I found a tutorial at Prudent Baby and used the paper template to cut out the shape. For the full tutorial you can use the Prudent Baby's post. We didn't use brads on the punch out holes and used an elastic string we had on hand. I used a large circle punch for the green and pink circles and used and exacto knife to cut out the number one, then applied with hot glue. It's a pretty quick and easy project.Kids of all ages can wear them.
It's a good looking hat and makes the kids happy.
Maybe not all of them. Sophie's hat band broke, and I think it scared her. Still a cute face!
