I originally found this tutorial on my friend Kylie's blog Kommunicated. She made a few stands for her son's birthday party. The stands are easy to make and requires just a few materials. We substituted foam core board in place of the cardboard. Foam core is sturdy, cheap and easy to work with. Cardboard will work fine, but make sure it's fairly thick. We also modified the bases so the paper hangs out further than the wrapped piece underneath it. The original tutorial can be found at Prudent Baby.
Great idea! Yours turned out so pretty!
