30 and counting

I just realized I haven't posted my turning 30 on the 30th pics yet. I'm only eleven days late. Better late than never. So I'm now 30 + 11 days. I had such a good day from the time I woke up that Friday morning till I went to bed Sunday evening. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

These were on my lawn Friday morning when I pulled out of the driveway. From my mom-in-law.

I wanted to keep them, but the flamingos had to be returned.

Treat day at the office! I went into work and ate these delicious treats. I share a birthday with another co-worker and the office brings in treats for birthdays. Double the fun.

Friday was also the big "cast your vote" day for Ryan Schafer. He started as an intern and ran for the position of junior copywriter. If you want to know more about his clever strategy to get the job, go to his Facebook page and see what he's all about.

Me leaving the voting booth, a.k.a. The Jon Wood Memorial Park. Yes, we have our own arcade at the office.

For dinner we dined at the Anchor. My point and shoot was not happy with the lighting in there. And it was kind of acting funny. It still managed to capture the evening. Pictured are my Aunt Carol, Uncle Tim and Aunt Sherry.

The next three images crack me up every time I see them. Not so much in focus, but it doesn't need to be. Photo 1: Picture time — cue Grant's expression

Photo 2: Jen: Hey! Grant: Chuckle chuckle

Photo 3: Smiles. Grant likes to take quirky photos, and I appreciate that.

My buds Maranda and Jimmy

friends Lacey and Amy

For some reason I didn't get a shot of Christie and Dallen before they left so I stole this from her Facebook page. Thanks Christie!

The plan was to hit up Final Friday art shows but time got the best of us. We went to see Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Good stuff - if you like to laugh.

Me and my man

Part of the reason I can't fit into my jeans this week — this tuxedo cake. However it was delicious, so I'm not really complaining.

The topping

Here's another reason I can't fit into my jeans. My sis-in-law Jen made this pineapple coconut cake concoction (I forgot what it's called). Again, delicious and worth it.

Saturday night I had some friends over for dinner. We laughed so hard that night. I love my girls!

Thank you all for making my weekend oh so special!!

Happy Belated Birthday!! Looks like a great birthday weekend! That tuxedo cake looked amazing (as did the pineapple/coconut concoction!). Sounds fabulous!
