Over the weekend I made a cake for my niece Mariah who turned 11. She's big into Nascar and requested this car.
I wanted to use a bigger loaf pan, but couldn't locate it in my house. I loaded this one up with batter and got a very high car roof which actually turned out for the better.
Shaped and frosted.
Blue fondant for the base.
My friend's daughter Christina is interested in going to culinary school. She came over to help and learn in the process.
Luckily I had a small diecast model to go off of. It was a fun cake to make! I have a few more cakes coming up, so stay tuned for more baking shenanigans.
