Over the weekend, my favorite triplets had their 4th birthday party. Last year it was at My Gym, and I helped mom (Maranda) make minnie and mickey mouse cupcakes. This year I was able to make birthday cakes for each of them. Eventhough they are triplets, their parents make it a point to let each girl feel like it is their birthday instead combining them. Each get their own happy birthday song and their own cake. I think it's such a great idea for individuality. I'll create different posts for each girl and cake with triplet photos mixed in. The focus today is on Lily, she was born first. Her request: A tiger cake.
Maranda made outfits for the girls as well. How cute is that shirt. I have very creative friends.
Cakes and fondant created the previous day. This is one of the most challenging parts of the process. Figuring out what shapes you need for the cakes x 3.
I asked my friend Andrea if she wanted to come over and experience these sculpture creations and lend a hand in the fun. I had art classes with her at Butler and knew she had an eye for detail and had OCD tendencies like me! Creating three cakes in a day was a little daunting, and I'm so thankful she was able to help out!
Andrea's work of art.
Yikes, stripes!
Lily had the biggest smile on her face while people were singing to her. So cute!
How sweet is Lily hugging her little tiger gift.
Happy Birthday to Lily!
Oh my goodness, that is so sweet!! That cake is amazing, doesn't even look like a real cake!!! She is adorable too, I love the look on a child's face when they're happy! It's so much different than an adult's look, it's so genuine! Looks like they had a great time and I'm looking forward to seeing the other cakes!!
So glad Lily loves her tiger toy! It makes Morgan very happy!
Yummy cake too!
What fun! I love the cake and the process. Nothing I could do but I'm so glad that you can!! The girls are adorable.A Happy Birthday to remember.
